Limpet City - Steammancer's Folly Part One by Ramah-Palmer Limpet City - Steammancer's Folly Part One by Ramah-Palmer
A map created for the February monthly challenge over at the Cartographer's Guild Forum.

This is the first version of the map before the steammancers are responsible for a catastrophe that causes destruction and mayhem to the surrounding area. Part two will follow sometime in the future... when I can force myself to withstand the pain of another city map. :)

It was created in Photoshop CS using a Wacom Bamboo tablet. Awesome paper texture is from CoyoteMax.

Download to see fullsize version.

Map is outstanding, really one of the best, I have seen.  The elevations are so detailed and evident, it's just so beautiful and functional.

At least someone is reading the labels. I thought some of them were quite funny. :)

Hey there. To be honest I have no idea how long it took me. I know I spent a lot longer on in than I intended. :)

Sometimes that's how it is with something you like to do! That's kinda the joy of it! It starts out as a simple project then you make a stroke or something you didn't expect on the paper and instantly you think of every possible thing that stroke can turn into! :iconawwwplz: The beauty of the average (or in your case above average) artist....
