Have a crack at it, CM. I'm sure you'll enjoy it. I'm finding it far more enjoyable than mapping right now. And yeah, it is all down to practice. I've still a long, long way to go but if you look at some of the progress sheets that people post on here you can see the improvement over the years that people achieve. For instance: [link]
I'd give my left testicle to be able to paint like this girl does now but you can see her initial drawings were nowhere near like what she can achieve now.
